Planning your visit

How do I get to Convoy in the Park?

Convoy in the Park is taking place at Donington Park, near Derby. Here’s how to get there.

Where can I stay locally?

Accommodation to suit all budgets is available in the surrounding area. The Donington Park website has a good guide.

Tickets and entry

What time will the gates open?

Gates will be open at 7.30am on Saturday (22 July) and Sunday (23 July).

Can I turn up and pay on the day…. as a visitor?

Yes, you can pay on the door, but the cost of entry is £20 for a day ticket and £30 for the weekend.

Can I turn up and pay on the day… bringing a truck to show?

No, it won’t be possible to turn up on the 22nd or 23rd and gain entry to the event with a truck due to the motor racing circuit restrictions. You may be able to turn up on the Friday afternoon/evening, but spaces for the truck show parking are limited and we can’t guarantee you a place at this stage. Keep checking the website and our social channels.

Can children go free?

Yes, children aged 13 and under are free.

Do I qualify for a senior citizen discount?

Visitors over 60 are entitled to a £5 discount at this event. Discounts are only valid for on the day purchases.

Do I qualify for a local resident discount?

Local residents are entitled to a £5 discount. Please ensure you bring along valid proof of address and photographic ID. Valid postcodes for a local discount are DE74, DE73, DE72 and LE12 9. Discounts are only valid for on the day purchases.

My tickets haven’t arrived, what can I do?

Most tickets for major events are dispatched 7-10 days before the first day of the event. If you have purchased tickets for a major event at Donington Park and your tickets have not arrived, please contact our ticket agents SeeTickets via https://www.seetickets.com/customerservice.

Can I leave the circuit and return on the same day?

Yes you can. Please ensure you scan your ticket or have your hand stamped when leaving the venue. You can only re-enter the venue if your ticket is valid for that day, and your hand is stamped.

Can I visit the museum?

Yes, you get 50% off of adult entry for our museum on the back of your ticket, this is valid only for the date on your ticket.

Can I bring a drone camera with me?

Drone cameras and remote controlled aircraft are not permitted, and may be confiscated if found.

Can I bring my dog (or other animal)?

Sorry no. Motor racing rules in the UK say no pets, I’m afraid. The only animals allowed are guide/assistance dogs.

Do I need to pay for parking?

Parking is free for this event.

I am coming with a bunch of my mates, can we park all together (excluding the Scania Village)?

Yes, but we ask you to all arrive at the gate at the same time as we can’t reserve areas for your mates to join you later. If you arrive early and want to be with your mates, we ask that you wait in the parking area for the rest of the gang and then come in together.

Can we bring a trailer and park on-site?

Yes, a large on-site trailer parking area will be available. Note: all unaccompanied trailers and loads will be left at the owner’s risk.

Is there disabled parking and viewing available?

The disabled access area and view point is located at Gate 10 – Coppice Corner. There is an elevated viewing and parking area offering a good view of the track. Please ensure your vehicle displays a blue badge, and you’ll be directed to the disabled viewing area upon arrival at the event.

Can I camp behind my truck?

Yes, if you bring a truck for the truck show you can bring a support vehicle and tent and there will be space to pitch it behind your truck in the Truck Village area. Please remember that everyone attending will need a ticket.

I am not bringing a truck – can I still camp onsite?

No, we don’t have a public camp site facility, but there is a camp site right beside the circuit – Park Farm Campsite – so book in there. It’s adjacent to the circuit and you won’t miss any of the action.

Can I bring a caravan and have it behind my truck? Does it cost extra?

We’d prefer it if you booked your caravan into the Park Farm campsite, as space is at a premium beside the trucks and we want to get as many trucks in as possible. But if you really need to bring a caravan and you’ve booked your truck then we’re creating an area beside the Truck Village for you, so you can still be with your truck and your mates. Make sure you have all the necessary adult tickets, don’t take the pee and we’ll get on fine.

Is there racing both days?

Yes there will be racing action on both the Saturday and the Sunday, a timetable will be available on the main event page closer to the race date.

Can I take photos of the racing?

You are welcome to bring cameras to the event and take photographs, but for personal use only.

Can I get into the pits and paddock?

The paddock is open for this event, but please note there will be heavy vehicle movement so please be cautious and ensure children are supervised at all times. Pit areas are only accessible by authorised personnel.

Is the Melbourne Loop hairpin in use for this event?

There won’t be any racing on this section of the track, it is used for access only.

Truck Show

Can I enter more than one show class, if so how and how much?

Yes, there are 25 classes you can enter. It’s a tenner a go and you can make those selections when you book in at the Show.

Can we bring our truck and trailer into the Truck Show?

If you have a special trailer that compliments your tractor unit, a limited amount of space will be available. Please contact the organisers by email, info:@trucksportuk.com

Are there cash machines on site?

Yes, free to use cash machines can be found in the Pitstop Restaurant in the paddock, or at the Donington Collections museum.

Where are the baby changing facilities?

Baby changing and feeding facilities are available at Redgate Suite Information. The Paddock Suite also contains these facilities.

Where can I report lost property or hand in something I have found?

Please head to the security point at Gate 21 (opposite the FIA Formula E complex) to hand in or report any lost property.

Can we wash our truck on-site?

Yes, we plan to outsource a “pay as you go” truck wash facility, full details will be available soon.

When do we need to leave?

To assist with drivers’ hours weekend break regulations, it will be allowed for you to stay on-site until the Monday morning. Please note the food and beverage facilities may not be available after the event finishes!
