The British Truck Racing Championship comes to Convoy in the Park at Donington Park on July 22-23 with no fewer than 10 thrilling truck races taking place over the course of the weekend.
The BTRC is split into two divisions. Division 1 trucks are permitted more technological aids, such as electronic engine systems and adjustable shock absorbers. Division 2 is designed to be a lower cost introductory class.
Grid positions for the first race are determined by a qualifying period. Thereafter, the grid is a reversal of the finishing positions of the previous race – i.e. the winner of the previous race starts the next at the back of the grid. Add in rolling starts and it guarantees spectacular overtaking manoeuvres that are sure to leave a lasting impression on all spectators – a procession it is not!
Convoy in the Park will be the fifth round of the championship – the halfway point of the season. So far this season, the racing has been close – with a number of different winners in both divisions - and just a handful of points separate the top drivers.
This is your chance to get in on some thrilling on-track action from monstrous racing machines capable of hitting 100mph quicker than a Porsche 911.
